Employee-owned IT and cybersecurity firm opens Brentwood office, leveraging 3LS partnership to accelerate geographic expansion into high-growth Nashville market
Intrust IT, a fast-growing managed IT and cybersecurity firm, has expanded into Nashville with a new office in Brentwood, Tennessee—its first major move since being acquired by 3LS Inc. and becoming 100% employee-owned.
In a recent sit-down with the Cincinnati Business Courier, CEO Ricky Phipps said the 3LS partnership helped unlock the opportunity to expand geographically, explaining, “When 3LS acquired us, we had a really easy stepping stone to expand our geographic reach,” and adding, “Nashville is such a great market, because it’s expanding really fast, and it’s a center for the type of work 3LS (does), while we also have an opportunity to leverage their relationships.”
The Brentwood office currently includes a small team, with plans to grow hiring over time as demand builds in the Nashville market. Phipps emphasized both growth potential and continuity, noting the company remains firmly committed to its Cincinnati headquarters while expanding into high-demand markets.
He also pointed to strong regional tailwinds, driven by major employers like Oracle, Amazon, HCA Healthcare, Dollar General, and Starbucks as a key factor in establishing a local presence.
The expansion reflects Intrust’s broader evolution within the 3LS ecosystem, pairing organic growth with shared infrastructure across its network of employee-owned companies and positioning the firm to scale its IT, cybersecurity, and AI services nationally.
